Fakalofa Atu Ke Motulu Osi. My name is Carol Moleu and I’m of Niuean descent, born and bred in New Zealand. I’m a solo parent of 4 daughters, 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter whom I adore very much as any parent would.
Otahuhu is changing and I would love to be a part of the change especially where our children are concerned.
I have been on the board since 2015 and I have witnessed change within OIS as I’m sure some of you parents have. Since being on the OIS Board of Trustees I have learnt so much and have also experienced attending the “The New Zealand School Trustees Conference” in Dunedin this year, which I found very productive and inspiring to learn more to enhance the development of our future generations coming through OIS.
I believe with my vast experience as a solo parent, and currently studying in the field of Bicultural Social Services and ECE, my decisions will have an impact with other Board members to underline the success and achievements of OIS future students. This will encourage the students to discover, explore, learn and grow as individuals with an “Excellence” for achievements accomplished moving forward.
I applaud Brent Woods and his team at OIS for the “Successes” and “Goals” they have collaboratively been achieving thus far and look forward to keeping on decision making with the Board of Trustees for OIS.
